When Alan Ruesch retired after more than 40 years at Gross Heating & Air Conditioning, he left the business in the very capable hands of long-time employees Jerry Nee and Joe Mechanich. Jerry has been in the industry as a service technician for more than 27 years—25 of those with Gross—while Joe has 24 years of experience as a service tech and installer, including 10 years as a Comfort Consultant.
Our Family Treats Your Family Just-Right
Gross Heating was founded by William Gross as a coal and oil business in 1925. After William died in the 1940s, his brother took over, but soon realized it was not for him and began looking for another “family” member to buy the business. That family member was employee, Mike Ruesch. The legacy was passed to Alan Ruesch, Mike’s son and also a Gross team member, in 1996 and the company continued to flourish under his leadership for almost 25 years. In early 2019, Alan retired and sold the business to Jerry Nee and Joe Mechenich.
